I am trying to thread 2" aluminum tubing to a 2"-24 thread to make replacement reservoirs for Lyman # 55 powder measures. Was wondering about the Ridgid bolt cutting dies for their pipe machines and how interchangeable they are with using a set of 24 tpi die cutters on the 1-2" bolt die head. I have a Ridgid 500 machine with the bolt dies up to 3/4" so I would need to get the larger 1-2" 500B die head, but I am not sure if the 5/16 - 3/8 UNF cutters would work. Anyone ever try this?
