Ridgid strap wrench

hey guys, im a heavy equipment technician and looking at purchasing a couple of different size ridgid strap wrenchs to use on assorted types of filters just wondering who uses these wrenches for this purpose and how they work for you, thanks

They work fine, just as long as you hold onto the free end of the strap to keep in tight, otherwise it will slip

Are there ones that don't slip?

strap wrenches will slip.
chain wrenches won't

I use Klein Grip-it strap wrenches. They work better than Rigid IMHO.

I have used Ridgid ones they are alright, just bought both a Ridgid and a klein from feebay so I can dismantle the cylinders on my Weaver 2 post hoist so I can put my new seals in... got 2 so I can "double grip" it if need be while my son breaks the cap nut loose with a spanner they are some pretty long cylinders
