Well I'm doing the Final touched on the garage and needed a new wet-dry vac. While at HD picking up my new tool box I went ahead an bought the wall mounted vac. This has a 14 foot reach with another 7 foot Strechy hose which makes vacing the car easy. I had some misgivings about the power and the ablity to vac that far but it work very well. The only thing i don't like is the fact that there are no small tool but i'm sure i can get a small hose with some small tools to really get in there.

We use those little $20.00 home depot wet dry vacs on our work trucks.
They are handy for clean up on small jobs and they don't take up much space on the truck.
For the garage at home I have the big ole milwaukee shop vac.

Same here...just got it recently. With 20+ (total) feet of hose and storage for attachments it's a great tool.

I have the same and like it alot . At the time it was the only vac with an 18 foot hose, which was the big reason I bought it.

Central Vac

I've mentioned this before, but since we were building from scratch we had a whole-house central vacuum system installed....including 3 ports in the garage. I can reach essentially everywhere with the 30' hose, and the only thing I wouldn't use it on would be wet & funky stuff. For that we have a standard shop vac, but I've not turned it on in over 2 years. The power unit is mounted on an inside garage wall (common to the house) and is not very loud even in the garage....since it has a plastic 'muffler' and directly vents the exhaust outdoors.

We had a Vacuflow system in our old house, and were very pleased with it. You're right, though, it is not a wet vac... dry ONLY!

Only problem we had with it was that the motor burnt up after 6 or 7 years of abuse.
