Eleven years ago I bought a cordless kit, a drill and impact driver, two batteries and charger. I promptly went home and registered them.

Yesterday I was working in the garage and grabbed my driver and the battery was dead, set it on the charger and grabbed the other battery. When I was done I swapped batteries on the charger, put the freshly charged battery in the driver and found out it was still dead. I put it back on the charger and noticed there was an error light and would not charge, **** bad battery!

I went online, logged onto my account I set up eleven years ago, found the battery serial number I registered and marked it for warranty. There were 3-4 questions that popped up, answered them and I got notice a new battery was on the way. simple and no fuss.

Not bad for an eleven year old tool. One of the reasons I bought Ridgid back then, the life time warranty on batteries.

Love it when things work as planned. They have quickly swapped batteries for me too. It took a while, but they replaced a trigger in a drill for me too. The tech warned me when I dropped it off, it took forever (like 6 months) for the trigger to come into HD so they could swap it.
