Don't know about a four post, but I lifted my lawn tractor with my two post! I stuck the lift arms into the wheels... Said to myself: "This is really, really stupid, and won't work..."

Lifted it up just enough to get it off the floor and engage the automatic arm locks. Then I tried to make it fall out/off and could not. It was solid.

(Uh, no, I never did get under it like this, but could easily reach under to remove the blades and lubricate all the fittings and stuff.)

I lift mine on my 2 post all the time for deck servicing. Just make a steel plate to spam your 4 post and drive it up

my HD14 has a movable right platform(not bolted down), for the last couple of years sharping blades and oil changes are a piece of cake...

I put my Exmark laser Z zero turn on my 4 post to change the blades etc. I use 2 sliding jack trays and position them so the front casters are on one tray and the rear wheels are on the other. Works good.

Roll/drive on from the side? Front tires on one track, rear tires on the other track. Not sure of distances and spacing, but brainstorm outside the box.

i use rhino ramps and come across the ramps from the side. Lift the ramps about 2 inches off the ground even with the rhino ramps, and use jack trays or 2x6s to drive the front tires across to the other side. When finished, front tires on are 1 ramp and rear tires are on the other with the whole mower deck exposed between the ramps.

Fatboy,
Go ahead and post your 2 post pics showing how you lift the mower. I would like to see your method.

This is cool too, but this isn't going to lift a commercial zreo turn

My 4 post came with a oil change tray and a jack tray, so if you have those, you can do it without building anything.

My trick was to raise the 4 post all the way up and then use a 4x4 across the rear posts with a chain to the mower. I was then able to split my rear engine transmission from the deck by removing the bolts and lowering the lift, which allowed the changing of the drive belts from hell to be done in 1/3 the time as crawling on the floor under rhino ramps.

Sweet, if any of you guys can take some pics when you do it next, that'd be great.

I keep my ATV (used primarily for snow plowing) up on my 4 post in the summer months when the car is on the ground. I just use 2x8 planks braced underneath between the runways with 2x4s. I just hit the 4x4 button and it crawls on from the side and off when I use it for spraying (or pulling my mower out of the mud if I get too far into wetland areas.

My runways are a little higher off the floor than most because of the shims need to deal with a sloped floor so if I wanted to put my zero turn mower up there I'd definately need ramps. 5bb26874b81a0665597f75ed75f79c17.jpg

A couple 4x4 posts with each end on a ramp would work. I used 2x4s and my 2 post lift to lift my 500cc ATV.

As I commented on a recent similar post on the same subject, I always have a car on my lift. Too lazy to take the car off and put it outside, I just lower the lift to a little above the mower with the car still on it and throw a chain over one of the ramps and lift either the front or rear of the mower, depending on what I'm working on.

Awesome. Thanks guys. My mower is 1,200 lbs but I guess a chain could do it too.
