The mower in the pic is a grasshopper 727 front mount deck model. It has halogen lights, cupholders, adjustable seat and supersonic blades that can mow at 8 mph. I had a lesser model that I bought from a yard man and wore it out after it was already worn out! Decided to pop for a new one and its the last mower I will ever buy. It was close to $10k but everyone wants to drive it so I never have to mow anymore! I have to cut 4+ acres in Florida so it gets a workout.

This is probably going to be an odd question, but has anyone here installed additional muffling to their riding mower's exhaust?

It's noisy enough at work (impact guns, air ratchets, air chisels, guy few bays down from me blasting his radio) and I'd rather not wear some hot earmuffs while mowing.

I'd really question whether Dana even needs a rider. If the yard is getting mowed OK with a walk behind, and the hill is this steep, how would you ever manage to do it with a rider. I have a Great Dane zero turn commercial with a 25 kohler and it does well on steep banks but I cannot even imagine a regular rider on a slope so steep that you slip while walking behind the mower. You ARE mowing across the slope? and not up and down the hill?

Well I am a lazy ****.. the side yard is pretty narrow so I have to mow it up and down the slope.. the grass here is pretty wet(juicy) plus, unlike the grass I had in Texas) its a fine bladed type that lends itself to slippage.. so the cleats have solved it..
