Cut your grass less. I find it to be a loathsome activity and stupid use of my time so I do it as little as possible. Less cutting, less dust

lol not quite, but I like it.

More like these, probably more of a swim shirt I guess. Very light weight and if I need to cool down, I just spray off with the water hose. I call them fish shirts as I originally bought them to wear out to the beach to go fishing. Now I wear them everywhere.

Lots that are cut short seem to have dieoff of grass and dusty bare soil spots. Then mostly weeds.
Over a couple of years cutting to the maximum height for the type of grass and perhaps some balanced (not just high nitrogen) fertilizer might allow a thicker turf to develop that won't die off so easily leaving dusty dry surface soil. Perhaps a slow release applied only once per year. In early Fall while a good rain is predicted? (if not ongoing drought)
(Don't scalp the grass)

They are not Roombas. This 50,000 square meter (12 acre) unit will do the job. Personally I'd get the Stihl and let it go a couple of times in the day

(psst, just between you and me I dont think the one he has will do 8 acres very quickly with a 46" deck)

Well on post 47 you said

“They are not priced that bad.”

The Ceora from husquavarna the you cited has an MSRP of $32,829.94

I want your kind of money if that is “not priced that bad”

Coupla thoughts.
1 - Switch to mulching or sand blades. Lots less dust.
2 - Mow at flank speed. You kinda outrun the dust.
3 - Make yourself a power respirator out of an old MC helmet. Full disclosure, I haven't tried it on the mower, cause #2 is working for me so far.

My 1/2 acre lot in Green Bay has a lot of sand in the soil, maybe 2" below the topsoil. Lots of big trees and shade. I used to create a dust bowl when mowing the dirt in the front yard. I've contracted Tru-Green for about five years now and I've actually got a front yard with decent grass and much less dust now. Still working on the back yard and reclaiming grass from all the damn moss. I know in some areas where the topsoil had washed off due to heavy rains, now need topsoil for me to establish grass in those areas.

MSRP Dealer may sell for less. :);):D

My point was there are options.

I cut 2+ acres and in the big growth season it needs cutting every 4 or 5 days. I could get a small Stihl and let it do it twice a day over a couple of days. Nowhere is it written that you have to do it all at once.

BTW that Ceora will be a game changer in the landscape industry in so many ways.
