Rigid 14" abrasive saw issues

I purchased a rigid 14" saw after hearing lots of good things about them.

I couldnt figure out why the first one wasn't cutting square, turns out the base was bent. So I returned it to Home Depot and they gave me 10% off for the hassle. Got home with the new one after a couple cuts I think the main/blade mount is out of center/balance. There is a slight wobble to the blade.

Anyone else have issues?

Seems like a lot of extra blade material came off with my cuts kind of like when you get a cut off wheel not centered.

Sounds like you need a refund. Two bad ones and done.

Suggestions on a better brand?
Based on brand reputation, I see DeWalt and Milwaukee both make one. I just saw an ad for a DeWalt factory recon for $139 from CPO but with shipping , it might pay to buy a new one, local.

Mine was free with a vibration.
When I started to take it apart, I found the blade was not centered, and off balance from using it like that. The deck is a little thin, after a few years I reinforced the tabs for the feet after one bent.

If you blade was stored any way but lying flat on a flat surface, it might be warped.

i've had a 14" ridgid abrasive saw for almost 10 years now. mine has a cast base.

the only things ive really noticed is the quality of the cut depends a LOT on the brand of blade.

cheap blades, (HF and similar "quality) are usually out of balance, shake, vibrate, and wear faster than anything else.

ive had the best results (so far) with dewalt, from HD.
