Rigid 535 Drain Plug

I got an awesome deal on a RIgid 535 pipe threader, it is the older style. The drain plug was missing. It appeared to be a 1" pipe thread but a 1" pipe plug leaked. I ran a tap through it but the tap goes all the way through! At this point I do not know if it is worn out or is it a straight pipe thread maybe with a gasket or O-ring...the parts manual is not clear....
