Gentlemen, if anyone could provide me with the microfarad rating for the run capacitor for the rigid tri-stack 5 gal compressor it would be greatly appreciated. The run capacitor is the one located toward the top as the other is the start capacitor. The problem I'm having is the run capacitor keeps burning up, but since the compressor was given to me I believe the run capacitor was replaced prior to me taking ownership with an incorrect part. Everything else checks out good and I have called rigid but they are unable to provide me with a micro farad rating for the compressor. Thanks for any help.

5699, I plead my need for enlightenment. What does having the micro farad rating do for you?

Has the part been replaced by the OEM ridgid part?

Or has the compressor been serviced to correct the issue by an authorized ridgid facility? I have had a repeat issue that was easily rectified through an authorized service center.

The problem is the current run capacitor is a plastic case that is marked start capacitor. Most run capacitors are a metal case design. The replacement capacitor from rigid appears to be the same style as what is on the compressor now, (plastic case). If all else fails I will resort to giving the rigid capacitor a try. I hust wanted to see what the compressor originally came with. Rigid can not supply any information other than part # and a poorly taken picture. Thanks for the responses and the help.
