I may have posted this a long time ago and seeing if anything changed....

I have the one and only ring nose pliers from Knipex but was looking to round out the ring nose pliers with all different sizes.
I refuse to purchase Asian made and as I said have the only Knipex versions offered.

I still can't find anything USA made or German made with multiple sizes.

You're talking about these right? I have a pair of them too. Like you, I've also not found these this style of pliers made anywhere outside Taiwan, China or India... Especially in a set.

I don't know why Snap On doesn't make them. MAC had some if I remember correctly, but they were rebranded Taiwan made.

^ The Proamerica models are U.S. made. The jaws are serrated. They come as a three-piece set, which is how I got mine. Bowers might be out of stock on that model currently. I know that they were a special-ordered item when Bowers first got them. The photos below are what he sent me when they first came in a few years ago (April 2016).

I know they were not a hot seller because of the price point - the Chinese models sell for less than a third this much.

I looked at a bunch of different Chinese ones and wondered if I really needed them. I really don't like buying cheap tools without someone I trust recommending them. I pondered one size versus three sizes, etc. and then one day came upon these:

I ******** LOVE these pliers. They aren't billed as hose pliers but will grab a hose. I find myself using them for all sorts of things. The short flat at the end of the jaw beyond the ring is incredibly handy. Those were my first NWS also. I have some more NWS in shipment and plan to continue to support them for my pliers purchases when possible.

They also make at least a couple pliers they call spark plug pliers. I have a set of Lisle spark plug pliers that may rust away in the drawer since I bought the NWS.

pro america way go on these if wanting decent effort and usa made, they are nice effort with better shaped rings and better effort on joint/finish that not even the better end taiwan going beat .
Sunex did have a version with 2 position slip notch joint that was pretty useful concept but assume they dropped that for a cheaper more standard sourced design .
Current Sunex ones china coo from what I saw on packaging . Toptul have some fairly nice taiwan ones but they not much different in price than pro america so it easy choice buy usa ...
Japan possibly have something quality and sensible money although not seen any when I been scouting japan pliers ...
I have a cheap eBay set in the truck mobile tools as silly cheap with eBay coupon code, do the job & fine value but not a pleasure to look at closely lol .

Snap-On only sells them under the Blue-Point name... so they can be made in China. Good tools and priced right according to COO, but consequently won't satisfy the OP.

You just think you don’t have a use for them. But just you wait until the day comes you wanna remove that nose ring...

I’ve got two complete sets of some generic no name units, super long and just long. I luv these things, super handy for getting at hoses you can’t get to. One of these days I’ll step up and get a better set but for now these have yet to let me down.
