I'm running two conduits between the house and the garage.

One is for data. The 2nd is for a 12-2 light switch run.

I have not found anything that provides guidance on the type of risers that I need to come out of the ground and into the sill plates of the house or garage.

(called AHJ, but nothing back yet...)

I suppose the safe answer is to run rigid metal down to the 18" cover depth, then schedule 40.

For the record it needs to be Schedule 80 PVC, RMC or IMC. But it is a subjective call by the AHJ on how much damage the riser can be subjected too.

Needs to be schedule 80 where subject to damage! And FYI- the power for the light switch circuit needs to originate from the subpanel in the garage!!
