Rivet Shelving

I have some boltless rivet shelving and need to add a shelf.
My shelves are 24x48, the rivet spacing is 1/2" in from each end.
24" rail has rivets at 23" center to center.
48" rail has rivets at 47" center to center.
I thought these things were kind of standardized, but found out not so.
I ordered some rails from Global Industries, but they were 22.5" and 46.5" center to center.
I have contacted a company that sells used shelving, figuring they might know which brands use which spacing.
So far no luck.

So asking the brain trust, anyone have any ideas?

I would custom-make your own shelf for the bottom or top of the unit and permanently weld or bolt it in place. That will free up an adjustable section in your set for you to move around.

That is my fallback.
I will bolt, not weld as I want to keep the shelving reconfigurable.
I need to find some 3/4 to 1" x 2 & 1/2 "L" rail or channel steel .
I don't have access to a break to bend the angle.

Well, priced out some steel, and ****, I might as well buy new shelving.
