How about ball-headed Robertson profile drivers?

I've got the #2 and it has been really useful.

All this talk of 'licensing'. You guys realize the last patent Robertson owned expired in the 70s or something?

I encounter a lot of #1 in electrical fittings like switches, outlets and connectors. Most electrical screws are combo's of Phillips, slotted and Robertson. While these combo screws are a curse, and strip instantly with a Phillips driver, Robertson fits the best and delivers the most torque.

I've also been using a lot of fine thread trim screws lately, and those are also #1 Robbie.

Here's most of my collection. Interestingly, the only #3 I own is part of a Snap-on lookalike set I bought back in the late '80s.
99% of the screws are #1 or #2 that I encounter. I find myself grabbing the Weras first now. Previously I liked the pale red one for #2 and the Fuller for #1.

What brand are those two red #2's, I have a purple one like that (forget what tip) and I keep finding them everywhere's. Made in Canada and Unbreakable Handle is all the markings I ever see on them, if they're the same as yours. Never found one branded.

I have a set of Husky Robertsons that are pretty good. Made in Canada. I did notice that the newer stock of the Husky screwdrivers are not Made in Canada anymore. I have no use for any of the slotted in this particular line. For around the house I even break the slotted ones, but the robby's are pretty good.

Lorddiesel I also have those drivers from the 90's, I still have them and use them daily, just the robby's. In the 90's those were the first CT robby's that I did not need to return to CT for exchange. I have not seen that style handle at my local CT in years, I do hope that it is back.

Both makers shopped at the "Canadian made unbreakable handle" store
The light coloured one has WILL 8-142 engraved on the one side.
I think the bright one is a Canadian Tire by the part number, but there's no markings that aren't in the picture.

They're both Will (which became BNT)...

That's good to know. I have the aforementioned purple one and I also came upon an orange one looking through my step father's stuff earlier. Always wondered what they were.

Just bought a set of the golden grips earlier this year, mostly for nostalgia since dad always had a set of them around the farm.

Weird; it's working for me :dunno:

I looked at the link for the picture and I found out it actually comes from Stuey at Toolguyd. So here, this is the link to his review from June, 2014: http://toolguyd.com/bondhus-ball-head-square-screwdrivers/

I bought my #2 from the local KMS Tools about 5 years ago. I thought it was pretty cool as I'd never seen a ball profile til' that day.

My server prevents hot-linking to avoid unnecessary bandwidth costs. When you're talking about hundreds of images hot-linked on forums that receive thousands of views over time, it adds up. There's nothing I can do to whitelist some forums and not others.

Thus, you will see the image since it's already loaded in your cache after you visit ToolGuyd, but forum viewers will see a red X.
