Rock Island Vise

Hello, I have what seems to be a pretty old Rock island vise. Will try to post pictures when possible. My question is has anyone restored one of these and know what the original color is? Sorry if this has been asked before its model # is rock island 574 it looks as though it's got several coats of house paint on it lol thanks

I have a RI from 1954, and was pretty surprised to find a vibrant chartreuse/safety green under everything else. Think 1970s fire engines. The color was inside the swivel base also, I'm convinced it was the factory color. It's now a hammertone brown.
