Rockford Tool Company Air Compressor

I just purchased a air compressor from a family member. It is labeled "Rockford Tool Company" and is a Model MPC-2076. It is a 2 h.p. twin cylinder compressor with 20 gallon tank, date stamped 1988 and says 'Made in Taiwan'. The nameplate calls out 7.9 CFM and also states working pressure of 115 PSI. What do I have here? Anybody recognize this compressor that can give some background? Surely it isn't rated for 7.9 CFM at 115 PSI, is it? Thanks!

I have never heard of this brand, but a bunch of companies are into rebranding and they also come and go over the years. Jenny/Emglo K pumps at 2 HP are rated 8 CFM @ 125 PSI which is the highest I've seen. They have true 2 HP 1725 RPM motors. A lot of the "2 HP" compressors today are really closer to 1.5 HP and produce around 6 CFM. 7.9 CFM is quite possible if you have a true 2 HP motor on there.

It's a Swan pump. Chinese. Not a bad pump actually. Puma uses these as well as a few other companies.
