Hello all,

I put Rocksolid down in my detached garage a couple years ago and it turned out very nice.

Last fall I signed up to try out Rocksolids new formula. It was a pretty straight forward application. I applied Rust-oleum anti slip to the floor after it was down and it wrecked the finish. Rocksolid was kind enough to send more flooring to overcome the anti slip. I re-prepped the floor and reapplied and it turned out much better.

I added some Fathead street grips with some scarlet and gray chips to finish. Go Bucks!

We added some Gladiator cabinets for storage.

All in all it turned out really sharp.

I'm not surprised by the finish issue since the Rust-Oleum product is aluminum oxide. We have been doing some research on RockSolid's new Polycuramine garage coat. The dry film thickness is only 3 mils. Aluminum oxide in a thin coating like that will definitely take away the shine and can create other issues if mixed in too heavy.

For anyone purchasing RockSolid's new product, I would recommend using a product like Shark Grip instead. It works much better in thin film coatings and won't affect the finish as much.
