Rockwell 10" Contractor Table Saw

I recently bought a Rockwell 10" Contractor table saw. It is a Model 34-44C and I can't find any information on the web about it. All the saws I find are Model 34-4xx numbers, and the 34-445 Series 1 is closest to the one I have.

Can anyone steer me to information on this saw? It is a nice older saw with cast iron parts, probably made between 1970 and 1980.

I can post photos if that will help.

I think you're last no. is a 0 not a C. Try 34-440. I got lots of hits.

It's a belt drive, right? I also had the 34-340 direct driven saw. I used that thing forever. It wasn't very good. The 34-440 is a good saw and even better with a Biesemeyer fence.

Funny, the 10" TS that HF sells is identical. They copied a good design. Well, in fact, if you look at your Rockwell, it probably says "Made in Taiwan."

The tag definately says 34-44C. I see nothing to indicate non-USA production. The parts list for the -440 has a completely different way of mounting the splitter, among other things.

The jet-lock fence works very well and sets up dead straight if you make the final adjustment moving toward the blade. I checked the arbor alignment with a dial indicator and it only moved .002 over the full length of the blade.
