Did a restoration on my 1980 Rockwell 15-665 drill press. I know from the posts that a few of you have one so I decided to post up my resto. I'm quite pleased with it.

I got it for free about 10 years ago and just used it occasionally as i got it, cut down floor model pole and all. My recent acquisition of a standard pole started this process (the old one is available).

I stripped everything except the Rockwell 3/4 hp motor and pulley hood. I used JB WELD to fill the arc of shame. I painted the base and table with rustoleum smoke gray, and sprayed the head with dark machine gray. I stripped and cleaned the interior of the head and quill. Would like to spend an hour with the guy who packed it with grease!!! I made a lathe creation to polish the column. Old skateboard trucks on a 2x worked really well for this.
