Good going! We had one of those at my workplace. I have two mid 60’s Rockwell 20” band saws and they are well built. When I wanted a 6x48 belt sander I ended up with a Powermatic I found on Craigslist at the time for $150. Mine gets used for metalworking. I gave my Craftsman old school 6x48 to one of my sons as I do very little woodwork these days.

The seller told me he bought it over 30 years ago, bolted it to his garage floor and never used it at all.
It has had an easy life.
Obviously it has been run enough to cut thru the guard with a belt. Something often seen with those. I've used a Delta 6 x 48 with the disk on the side for years. I leave that guard off as the belts often need a moment to align when you put a different one on.

Yeah I repaired mine with epoxy putty and it actually looked pretty damn good and the belt behaved for a year and then one day just wiped out that repair in 2 seconds!
I just live with it now.
