Nice to see some updates on the bandsaw, the black pinstripes are a really nice touch on the paint scheme! Your new shop looks really cool too. Keep posting

Nice job Jon! I like the green it's vintage looking. I also like engineering red, a color used in Navy engineering spaces kind of a dark red. I like the idea of the custom paint job. It makes the saw pop instead of thr industrial gray. Cool idea. Nice work by the way!

Jumped over from your garage remodel thread to check out your band saw renovation. Somewhere you said something about ceramic guides. I am unfamiliar with them but I found a different solution when I rebuilt my similar Jet 14" to cut metal. I did the blade slow down with a new stand and a jack shaft. Nothing special about that. For guides I upgraded to Carter roller guides. Dramatic change in the saw's personality. Blade runs straight and does not twist when I cut curves. Cost is somewhere between $150 and $200 and for me it was money well spent.

Where did you get the hardware for your table saw rolling base?

Following your Flickr photo stream. If you chose to reciprocate you will find my stuff is no where as interesting as the artie stuff the people you follow post but you might find something helpful there.
