Got this for $5 The other day from someone I was buying a table saw from. Spruced it up a little. Runs really well. Well built.

I have one of those, had it for years. Needs the sacrificial wood board. I like to keep another board on top of the screwed on board.

Jnmario - When you rebuilt it, you loosened the bolts that connect the upper to the lower arm.

MAKE sure, when you swivel the saw to 45 in BOTH directions... your blade is still in the clear.. NOT touching the vertical slot in fence.

If it does, you just need to move the upper arm out a bit.

I messed up a brand new $60 blade that way.

Freud makes 9" blades w 7k rpm capability.

I gotta add... I am NOT a Guard Nazi... but for THIS saw... I will say it is NOT smart to run w/o a guard.

You CAN find one often on Ebay.

They went through a few style/ color changes... but AFAIK, they are interchangable.. will fit your machine.

You may want to consider making the sacrificial board a bit longer ( the one on my saw is 36" long) for added support, and it doesn't hurt to make up two while you're at it. The 34-010 may not slide or do compounds, but it's extremely accurate for miter cuts within its work envelope. Nice find?

Good idea! Yeah I think it was a nice find. Wasn't planning on getting a miter saw. I was buying a table saw from a guy and he mentioned he had a miter saw as well but didn't have pics or know the brand name. He said he would bring it to show me. Showed up and said he would take $5. How could I resist?
