Im sure it’ll work just fine on 1/4” rod.

I built these custom intercom stations last year. The first rendition of the headset hanger was made from 1/4” rod off something similar to what that is but I didn’t like how I was going to attach them to the enclosure. So I went with flat bat instead.

I have the now discontinued Princess Auto version, I have played with it a few times and built a couple of projects with mine, worked well but the handle is really short for the advertised ⅜" dia. [1/4" NP] but it did make the bend. Overall I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. I believe there is/was a version with an adjustable throat (right term?) that looks even better. For the price I paid (20ish years ago adjusted of course, but don't ask I forget what I paid it wasn't much ~$20 maybe) I would buy it again, I don't see a price on that screen shot though and that matters. I haven't used it as much as I thought, project choice mostly though. Harry

What is it you're wanting to accomplish with it? What size stock?

I made one from scrap steel lying around the shop, including the dies. Works fine, but care must be taken to keep the bending arm at parallel to the mounting block. There is some slop in the system. Made the handle with bending points on both ends; allows different radius bends.
