Finally got the house rebuild and garage replacement done last summer, and then, a month ago, I actually got the boat inside where she was meant to be. Sadly, the boat took a serious hammering in the weather for far too many years, and I haven’t determined whether it’s a loss or repairable...one of the curses and beauties of a wood boat. You can do a lot of repair with few specialized tools, but sometimes there’s simply too much. Blah blah blah...on to the actual topic.
In the process of jamming a long 33’ of trailer/boat into an already full garage, I realized it was time to start going UP. Finally got the first tier of rod storage up...short rods first. They will easily accessible from the boat, and in a place I don’t want heavy shelving. 14’ tall walls.
I used 1-1/2” sch40 conduit. Spaced at 9” on a pine 1x8, I should have enough spacing to have two lower tiers, at 3”oc.
How does everyone else keep these fragile (but ever so awesome) tools safe? Would love to see your storage solutions.
Cheers!
