Rodent proof garage door bottom seal

The bottom seal of my main garage door spans one of the contraction joints in the floor (pic below) and mice are chewing the seal and using it as ingress (and presumably egress).

Is anyone aware of a "rodent proof" seal and how to "bolster" the contraction joint to prevent such activity? I imagine I could just trowel some "mortar in a tube" to fill the joint locally but the mice may just chew holes in the seal elsewhere.

I'm having the floor ground and epoxied soon but the vendors that quoted didn't offer much in the way of ideas.

I treat the perimeter of my buildings with fox pee (sold as a deer hunting scent), others use peppermint oil.

Seriously, the floor guys were clueless?

First off, fill that joint with something, epoxy, or Sikaflex concrete crack sealer. The problem isn't the door seal, it is the joint in the slab that draws them in. If the floor was level across mice wouldn't bother with it.

I wouldn't do anything before the floor guys show up, or at least talk to them first. I definitely wouldn't use a cement or mortar type product, it will fail.

The rule of thumb I was told was that a mouse can crawl they an opening the size of a dime. A rat can go thru the opening the size of a quarter. Seal up accordingly.

Put some caulk in the joint.

Why would you want rodents around your garage? Put traps or a bait container out and kill those things. Dead rodents chew no seals.

The 5 gallon bucket with the flip lid is great at catching critters. Fill it 1/3 with water and watch for the fun to start.

Glue food to the flip lid. Provide a 1x4 as a ramp to the bucket top.
