So another member (Fixed) suggested these in another thread. These don't work like the regular ratcheting screwdrivers. They use a cam and ball bearing mechanism. Apparently they're very smooth. Being made in Canada, B.C., I had to order right away. I ordered the 4" and 6". They do have a stubby in the works, but it's not out yet. Did I mention they're CHEAP??? Lee Valley in the US sells the 4" for 11.90$ and Canada for 16.00$ The do sell directly from their website and accept paypal. Mine should be here in a day or so and will give a small review.I'm stoked to try these. They look fantastic too. Here is a review on tool rank...

Would really like to see a video of it in action, and a tear down.

Yeah, the tear down will be interesting. For you smart guys out there, would this classify as a gearless ratchet mechanism?

They're a great driver, I'm sure you'll like them. I only have one, but am definitely tempted to buy a couple more to avoid having to change bits as frequently.

I have never had a ratcheting driver. I wonder if they would work good on hose clamps?

This one looks like a well made tool. I know others are out there too.

The only way I could see it being better visually is if it also had some knurling on the shaft for fingers to help spin it in or out faster when the fastener is very loose.

I see you're south of the border. You just wrap it with the same grip tape as the handle on your hockey stick. Available in all team colors.

Have any of you tightwads spent the 12 bucks at lee valley for one to try out?

And yes, this is a gearless ratchet.
