Roll up door adjustment

So i installed all 3 off my Janus 2500 14x14 doors. read ALL of the instructions and tripple checked my work but for some reason the gear in the supplied chain drive does not fully mesh with the driven gear on the door.
i checked the spacers and I'm using the correct ones but all 3 are off by the same amount, about half the gear.
any tips on this?

I would take the spacers out on that side, if you have enough in the slots....or.... raise the ring gear out with stacks of washers under the 3 point mounting. Using longer bolts to compensate.

Are the red headed screws grub screws to hold the shaft in place? It looks like the shaft has been beat to hell on the end. It looks like the spacers near the wall are the same width as the gap in your gears. If you remove those spacers and move that whole assembly inward do things mesh correctly?

I think it would have been perfect w/o the spacers but now if i move the brackets in, the bolts will only be about 1/2" away from the old holes, not sure if it would still have the same strength. this supports the weight of the door. my second option would be to space the ring gear. just wanted to check here to see if maybe i did something wrong before i go rigging stuff myself.

The red screws hold the shaft in place and keep it from spinning and loosing tension. the shaft hasn't been beat on. thats from the factory welding and grinding.

I have the same 2500 series doors. I think it is the same as yours where the drive gear only catches about half the ring gear on the door.
I can't remember (a year ago) if I eliminated those spacers or not.
My doors were mounted using the heavy duty plates for steel jambs and had slots . Yours appear to be mounted to wood or masonry? Which means whatever holes you drilled are there to stay.
I don't think where the gears land on each other will effect the operation of the chain hoist.

yes, mine is going into wood. it opens and closes the door fine but would be nice to have it setup properly for the long run.
one of my other doors is off by slightly more.
