I have to spec out the main roll up door for my new shop. 24w x 10h. I've narrowed it down to 4 manufacturers and they frankly all look the same with possibly the difference in slat profile. I'm liking the flat style, but I forget at the moment which is which. If anyone has experience with these doors I'd appreciate your opinions, good or bad. I don't have prices yet, so obviously that will factor in to the decision. Thanks!

All four mfg's offer a std. service door which these all appear to be. We have installed both the Wayne Dalton model and overhead model. there is more then this or that for example the both the Wayne Dalton and Overhead (OHD mdl 610) both have a std wind rating of 20psf, with out more being added.

We have installed a Wayne Dalton 800 series 30' x 30' in northern Colorado where the wind blows no issues yet and it has been running for over two years.
We also have installed the OHD 610 23'x26' and same thing it is running.

We have also worked on the CHI door and it is a good door as well cannot say about the clopay door.

You need to narrow down what you want out of a door like this, they are for commercial use. Just do not compare these type of doors to the "can/mini storage" type doors night and day. Install is everything with these doors as well, get a competent company that does these doors. Ask for references of there installs see if you can see them etc.

Just had 2 CHI doors installed. Great quality for the price in my opinion. Installation is the most important part of any overhead door.

I put 4 Porvene doors on my barn/shop. 9 and 11 ft tall, 10ft wide Looks similar to some of these. I think they are in socal as well, Moreno Valley?

The one on my shop is insulated- decent. Gasketed for reduced air infiltration, along with insulation and radiant barrier on the door itself.

I installed them. Used the bucket of the tractor to get them up. Total PITA one man job, for sure. ;)

I have a 14x20 Clopay 4300 series on my barn and have no complaints. Ended up putting the same doors on the house after I built the barn. I have a 14x20, 12x12, 8x16 and 9x8. No issues at all.
