I did a search and couldn't find anything specific...

When looking for roll up doors I see there are sheet, slat, sectional and other names and I am a bit confused on what to pick.

My building is 40X60X20 with 2 - 12X14 openings for the roll ups. I live in Southern California. I want insulated doors with some windows in them.

Can anyone give a general idea of whats best for my size building/door size as far as the difference between sheet/slat/sectional?

Thanks!

I suggested sectional doors because of availability and price. Being a metal building contractor I have dealt with pretty much every kind of door there is and sectional doors are the best value unless there is some unique application.

A sectional door would end up being your best value and less of a warehouse look. A slat door can be insulated and have tiny windows in a row of slats and it's easy to change out a damaged section but the rest of the mechanicals are not easy to service. Translate to could get expensive. A sheet door is like a self storage unit and insulation is foil faced bubble ****. Stick with conventional sectional and you will be happy.

We recently replaced the low bidder sectional door with an insulated sectional with metal facing on the inside. we regret not having done it sooner.
