I'm finishing up my tin ceiling in my garage, and I realized how ugly the track hangers are. I remember reading about some better ones, but I had no luck searching for the post, or online searching for the hangers. Any ideas on how I could make these look better?

Someone on here used a 4x4" or a double duo 2x4"s.....I think....as a support and covered it with a vinyl fence post sleeve. The 2x4 would drop down through the ceiling....supported from above. Good luck.

Spray paint them with semi flat Krylon, that turns them into "wrought iron"! LOL!

Congrats on getting the ceiling done! I'm still working on mine. One piece short! DOH!

Most of the things I can think of involve a bender or brake.

As above, you could make a triangular shape with tabs on 3 sides of it.

If I made my own I'd probably bend 1/2" rod in an "L" shape and then weld in the diagonal brace. Square/keystock would also be different looking although I don't have that.

Eventually you'd have to get down to some deck screws or other fasteners to hold it to the wood above.
