I am looking for information on rolling window shutters. I see these are also called hurricane shutters? I have 2 -16' wide and three 6' wide window bays I would like to cover. Cost and how they fit are two of the big things. I would do the install so a material vendor and or manufacture is what I am looking for, not a total project contractor.

they are common in So Florida. Snowbirds put them on home so they can lock up in summer. Hurricanes do touch them. I had clients who went thru Andrew, who saw clay roof tiles sail 1/4 mile across a community lake, leaving happy smile and frowns (~) in the hardened 1/4" thick aluminum shutters of neighbors. HurricaneShutters.com has some that are 55mm thick.

In Houston area, convenience stores have them to keep out the after night fall evil. You can also check into roll up doors that’s for storage units, or garage door companys

Doggone, looks like a nice building.... I'm guessing you want to add windows back but with protection.
Exactly,

The main issue is when I go away. The area is safe BUT, industrial so not many folks around on weekends. The other thing is the building faces west, in the summer the big windows are going get a lot of sun! I also like the idea with closed shutters nobody knows who is there.
