Very nice, great job. I like how you incorporated the arch cutout to maximize vertical space, without giving up access to the drawer and lock.

It will be 40" overall height. The guy I'm building it for is 6'8
Its 48" wide and 24" deep
The top is 2" Euro birch plywood and all the structure is poplar.

Awesome workbench!!

Have you got any pictures of your shop...I know I'm probably not the only one who'd be interested in seeing your working environment!

Any details of the bolted joint in the corners? Looks almost too good to wrench on. I would be very pleased and proud of that.

I ended up finishing it with some wipe on poly and it brought out the grain a bit more. I built it for a good friend. . . His wife wanted to surprise him with a work bench of sorts and this is what I came up with. Luckily I have all the resources needed to tackle such a task. He will mostly be using it to work on trials bikes and mountain bikes. I take pride in anything I build and had a blast building this.
Just cause everyone loves trucks this is my 79 toyota I built.

I built the ends first and glued them together. Wanted to be able to take the bench apart and the lags were the trick and add aesthetic value.

He's an electrician so I'm sure it'll have a few in the peg board. Yes, thats the box dimensions. it doesn't come with casters. It's suppose to be a side hanging box.

That appears to be about the perfect size for a cyclist's workbench --- very nice

As a cyclist myself, now i am jealous and want one for my bike room too

Damn, that's way too pretty to be used as a workbench. Looks more like a piece of furniture for the kitchen. Awesome work man!
