Well I had a little time to work in the garage today. Decided to start out small and organize a single drawer in my tool box. I know its no huge transformation like you see in some of the threads here (which I love to see and read about) But it's a start. And I am happy with the things I've gotten done.

Did a little more work in my box today. I'm finding I need to move things to different draws to be better organized. If you look close at the before and after pictures something didn't make it back into the same draw. This is my home box so I have different types of woodworking masonry and mechanic tools.

Good for you! I work with a few guys that complain they never can find their tools..but you should see the mess they make. Two of them work out of service vans that are such a mess, I don't know how they can find anything. We have to jump around on a lot of projects sometimes. I have solved this problem by using a combination of a "mothership" toolbox, a cart, and a large handheld box. Five minutes of quick tool inventory everyday goes a long way. I'm not ocd about tool storage..but I want the tools to be at least somewhat clean, and easy to find.

I keep my tool box at work a lot cleaner and more organized than my home box. My biggest problem while at home is just cleaning up and putting away.

You need a new yellow tip on that 38292 Craftsman Soft Face Hammer, put several of those together years ago.

Going off memory on model number, early nineties when I left there.
