I don't quite follow you. Having an unmolested neutral for the second set of receps seems to tell me that it needs to split before the GFCI so it's behaving as two branch circuits. Also, it seems to me that splitting the neutral there negates the need to pigtail the neutral at each recep because removing a device cannot break the neutral for the other leg. We're only talking 30 feet of extra neutral. Two 15-foot workstations on one leg and general convenience outlets after that.

I may just get that GFCI breaker but if splitting the neutral saves me some pigtailing then I'll do it anyway.

OP: sorry for the hijack but the shared neutral thing seems pertinent to your question regarding conduit stuffing.

U said u will be using 12/3

U can share the neutral on the line side(before) the GFCIs but U cant share a neutral between 2 GFCIs on the load side of the GFCIs meaning after the GFCIs u will need a neutral ran off of each GFCI load terminal.

This means 12/3 wont work after the GFCIs. U could use 12/2/2 instead.

12/3 to THHN to the loads. That's why this thread was of interest; it seemed to be the same thing the OP was doing. So it looks like it'll be 12/3 to 3 THHNs in EMT to the first box where I split the neutral and it basically becomes two separate branches in the same conduit.

If the OP is up against a stuffing limit it seems he could so the same thing to eliminate a neutral in the section of conduit under discussion. Make two of the three 20A circuits MWBC.

I was planning to do exactly as you said; run 12/3 from a recessed panel to THHN in EMT to the first receptacle (GFCI), then split the neutral so

Sorry for not getting these posted up before now. Here's what I'm working with.

Here is a picture of the knockouts that I have available going "up". Looks like I have an assortment to choose from, ranging from 1/2" to 4" (maybe?).

After thinking it over, I think the flex conduit is the best "most right" option here. I could probably pull off running NM, but it would be close given the number of separate knockouts I would need, and if I wanted to expand later it would be more difficult.

My plan is to have the J-box mounted just above the breaker box (a couple feet up, probably closer to the ceiling than the panel), and have my conduit branch out from there.

Honestly, I don't recall and I can't tell from the picture. It should be, but I would have to check again to be sure.

Edit: after re-reading, I realized you said bonded to the enclosure. At first I thought you were asking if it was bonded to the ground bus. I would assume that all should be bonded here (and only here) but I could be wrong on the enclosure itself.

Yeah theres no ground bar.

Thats why i asked about the enclosure. I dont see a bonding strap or green screw.

Just check it out and make sure.
