Agree. I had a lot from 1980s first house, not useable in second (Chicago), I used in third. Was all sizes and conductor count white, but easy to read embossed lable.

I have forgotten. What size is RED NM-b ?

Red 12-2 in Canada although yellow seems to be replacing it.

NM-b was introduced about 1978. I was working counter at Westburne back then when it came out. So, roughly 46 years ago.

As well as UF-B, SER cable is grey
It is allowed outdoors but cannot be used underground.
