Can someone direct to a good place I can buy roof truss plans? I'm tossing around the idea of building my own scissor trusses or having someone else do it.

I looked into building my own scissor trusses and it was almost the same price as buying them. The truss manufacturers are geared up to knock them out quick and you can have rolled off at your work site in a matter of days.

We'll that makes sense. It seems someone posted a build thread several months ago that they used plans and saved huge on their trusses.

I checked out Designs for Glued Trusses (free) from our university library. This one is geared toward folks who want to use plywood gussets. I haven't built the trusses yet, but I made copies of the pages I need.

You don't save much by building them yourself. But you do save a lot of time.

Can't possibly see how you save time if someone else is building them.
Surely that frees up your time to do other aspects of the build.
Doing your own trusses is very time consuming and in a lot of places, not allowed.
They need to engineer designed to suit the build and then rubber stamped by engineer after build.

I got a $1200 quote today for qty. 15 - 30' scissor trusses picked up. That's less than 2' spacing. I'd like to do 4' spacing and only go with 7 trusses for a 24' wide building.
