Looking at building a shed w/ low slope roof. Probably 2:12. Maybe 3:12 if required. Ideally a 1:12 if I could get away w/ it. (trying to keep as much headroom as possible)
Not a huge size so I can put as many layers of "whatever" on the roof. But top layer needs to be 3-tab shingle so it goes w/ house and surrounding buildings.
I can put heavy coverage of felt, "peel and stick". Grace ice and water, etc. or whatever you guys recommend is best way to go.
But what keeps it water tight? The final step is to put a nail through all of it to hold the shingle.
I'm not a roofer, so I'm not seeing how that stuff seals the nail hole.
Arizona. No snow but tons of heat and heavy rains.
