Roping stick-built shop best practices

Just wired my sub panel and one 20A GFCI rec. What's the best way to get around corners? Should I head up the stud to the attic and drop down, or drill through the corner 2x6's? I'm worried about structural integrity lost.

The inspector said since I'm planning on finishing the shop interior, romex ran horizontally at 4ft is ok, but if I dont sheetrock it, I have to run at 8'.

and use nail plates or at least 1.5 in of wood to the wire which means dead center of a 2x4

I centered the 3/4 holes in the 2x6 studs. I was close to that on the corners but will use nail strips to be safe.
