Rosco Screwdrivers ?

I have some old Rosco screwdrivers and I like them a lot, all I know is that they don't make them any more. Does anyone know anything else?, thanks.

they may have been made by great neck and/or vermont american.
there's very little info out there.

I came across one at an estate sale. Yellow and Blue handle.
Looked decent, so I snagged it. Didn't know anything about it.

junk-man, everything I have that is that orange/black and red/black design is VA aka Vermont America.

Most are hand me downs from my father or bought at the local Ace hardware store decades ago.

I've not seen the Rosco brand.

I almost positive that Rosco was bought by VA so they are basically the same.

Yes, Rosco was bought by V/A sometime in the 70s.
Metaldad, I know I sent you a 6 in 1 driver, the one you sent me is sitting in my rack!

The Orange & Black Rosco, my first screwdrivers! They were displayed in a KFC chicken bucket on the counter of Don's Auto Parts during the 70's. I think they were $1.00 a piece or so.

My father has a complete set of the orangeish red and black handle Rosco torx screwdrivers. No idea how old they are... I’m guessing 70’s or 80’s. He has T-10, 15, 20, 25 and 30. Not sure if 27 is in there or not...

This^^^^^^^^ the parts store I worked in for 12 years had a cardboard bucket just like you said of those on the counter, 99 cents each.

I have a big brown and orange (love the color combo) flat head and a clear yellow with red phillips, both were my grandfather's.

Actually found this forum and thread by doing a Google search for Rosco screwdrivers. I picked these up at a local auction recently. Some flats, some Phillips, and seven of the two-fisters. Condition is pretty good on the lot and I didn't know much (anything actually) about them so this thread has been enlightening.

Rosco Tools were manufactured in Smithfield, N.Y. and the company was owned by the Rosenburg Brothers until they sold out to Vermont American from Louisville, Ky. They had a fine product and were a well run company. Bosch eventually bought out Vermont American and I would suppose moved all manufacturing to China like everything else.

I was an employee of Vermont American back in the 70's and visited the Rosco factory a number of times. Have great memories of those days. A fine product for sure.
