I have some Rosco hollow-shank nutdrivers. I read Vermont American bought them out in 74, but when did they quit manufacturing them and what skill level were they marketed toward?

The big screwdriver is a Rosco Two Fister. It's to me what Linus' blanket is to him, I never leave the house without it.

I have/had several Rosco tools, I think I got them at Ace Hardware many years ago. Never had a problem with them.

Rosco worked for Boss Hog in Hazard County.

First thing I thought of when I read the thread title, Rosco P Coltrane.

It must have been around 1979 or 1980 that I needed a set of screwdrivers for my car; turns out the local junk type brick and morter store had a set of rosco screwdrivers for not much money. I still have them but they rust like crazy and if I a burglar came into the house you could kill him by just hitting him on the head with the handle of the large screwdriver.

I don't remember acquiring them. I didn't steal them, probably got them in a garage sale tool grab. The Two Fister always goes where I go when I carry my tools. My grandfather always said of things like this, "It's good for karfs, colds, arseholes and pimples on the dinkle. Guaranteed not to rust, bust, turn yellow, or run down your leg."

Yes!....another “revived thread”

ROSCO tools...I was using one of my old screwdrivers and when I picked it up to use it I noticed the shaft is slightly bent and of course the handle is all marked up and scuffed up, etc.

Then I started looking closely at the handle and noticed the lettering making out the word ROSCO. Never heard of them?

So come to GJF, type in the word ROSCO in the search box and well was surprised to find this thread and just wanted to add my $0.02

Great timing, lol I was just looking through a box of old rusty screwdrivers today at a sale and low and behold out of that box came a few Rosco screwdrivers, mind you I tossed them back, but three gems from my home state of "Ahia" came home with me today.:)(y)(y)
