rosebud torch

anyone know where I could get a rosebud torch for my older craftsman torch?
the inside is stepped & tapered but has no "O" rings, the screw on piece is aprox 13/16 dia

Where about in Minnesota? If close to Bemidji, try the Folks at Bemidji Welding Supply......

If in Southern Minnesota; maybe someone from that state could recommend a local source where you could walk in and make sure you got the proper one.

There should be plenty of options down there.. Check the yellow pages for welding supply...
A www may work for finding a rosebud,, but it would be nice if one of the locals could recommend a reliable source for You

The age of the torch may not matter as much as the brand.. Craftsman did not build that torch, as another manufacturer such as Forney, A O Smith or Marquette built it for Craftsman.
Without doing some research on Craftsman torches, and pictures to compare differences;; it may be easier to bring your torch into a local welding supply where these matters are dealt with more often..

Bring the entire torch in when you go.. Those Folks may recommend adding check valves or flashback arresters, and new hoses;;; if your torch needs them..

Good luck in your rosebud hunt.

The Hobart, weld it brand sold at Fleet Farm is compatible with Harris , I believe they have the size 4 heating tip.

As been a retired Welder/Machinist all my working years in a BIG Reynolds Aluminum factory I have to ask just why you need a "rosebud"? The only time at work used was 4 welders heating up a 6 foot bearing press fit for a 45 ton mill roll with "buds". And spare ready to go BIG fresh OXY tanks as OXY gone in 15 minutes. I only own Smith red and green, so what ya got it out my knowledge. But, a #5 cutting tip is darn close. Again, just why do you want this rosebud"? Hope I can help ya someway.

I have rosebud oxy/propane tips but use a propane fueled weed burner instead. Like Robbie said they rosebuds will **** your tanks dry.

With acetylene you really should invest in some flashback arrestors and check valves to be safe because the high amount of fuel you are using increases risks. Don't use too much acetylene at a time or run pressures too low and all that too

That said if you are still set on the rosebud Harris does make rosebud like tips that fits in that cutting head rather than finding the 3 other parts for the conventional rosebud setup. You can find the part numbers on the Harris calorific website then just google search the part numbers for the best prices. Atlweldingsupply is a good one

I'm from st paul mn i would try oxygen service company. thats where i go, great people to deal with they can take care of you. also that torch does look like a harris to me i have a very similar setup.

YEP! Weed burner/propane! I use one for a "fire starter" my shop wood stove. Load wood, fire it a easy flame, got a fire in 5 minutes! Plus preheats the cast iron the stove.
