Ready to pull the trigger on a Rotary SPO10 lift. Have settled on the Rotary symmetrical since I'll be lifting primarily 60's framed cars ( GTOs) and also my 2011 F250 crew cab. Expect that I'll be occassionally lifting newer unibody cars for family though. I was ready to go for the TA model, which includes truck frame adaptors and extensions, for the truck and GTOs. Don't want to scratch up the frames on the restored GTOs. The 3 stage front and and rear arms seemed to offer versatility, esp. with newer vehicles (will also get the round pad adaptors for unibody). My bay is on the tight side ( just under 12' wide, wall on one side, open on other side) , so thought the 3 stage arms would make it easier to load different size vehicles.
Rethinking whether I should just get the standard flip up adaptor model, as a new one just popped up for sale for a few hundred under typical cost. Drawbacks seem to be that you don't get the front 3 stage arms, may still need to buy higher adaptors for the F250 and may need a padded adaptor for the restored cars.
I'm probably over thinking this, could save some $, but in the end, I'd rather have the what I need and the versatility in a tight bay.

What have been your experiences with the 3 stage arms, TA adaptors vs. flip up.

Thanks!

I've got an SL210RA with the round pads and truck kit with extensions. Love that combination, and have lifted everything from a Testarossa to an Excursion.

I have installed many Rotary lifts over the years and the SPO10 TA is very popular. I installed my last one in a Chevy Dealership and those techs are very pleased!

Tyrol Blue is a nice color on a 67 GTO. On the subject of Rotary Brand Lifts, I've looked at some vendors sites but can't find a decent explanation or pic of those 'arm restraints'. Anyone?

Guys thanks for the info, very helpful.
Re: the arm restraints, send an email to Rotary, they are very helpful, will answer the questions quickly. They provided me with baseplate prints as I needed to confirm anchor hole locations.

You need to download the spec PDF off Rotary's site. It has a little picture of all the pads and dimensions for the arms and lift width and everything else
