Hi GJ members. I have been using Rotary lifts at work for the last 20 years, but have never had to fix one. My personal lift(Rotary 2 post)at home quit working
tonight. The motor tries to run but does not turn at times. Sometimes if you hold the button down for several seconds the lift will start to go up but sounds like it is struggling. I removed the reservoir and pump. With the pump removed the motor runs just fine. The pickup screen is clean and free of debris. I can turn the pump shaft by hand. I imagine that the pump has a internal problem. I am going to look online tonight for parts to overhaul the pump. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not lucky enough to own one....yet, but does Rotary or a parts supplier have a 'Help Line' for trouble shooting?

Monday I'm going to call the company that repairs our lifts at work and try to pick their brain and see if I can get some parts. Just curious if anyone had a similar problem or recommendations.

I hear the motor capacitor can be problematic. Might want to check it out.

Thanks for the input guys. I called the company that installed my lift for me and takes care if our stuff at work, they were very helpful and told
me that it sounded like a problem with the start up capacitor and they had one in stock. Plugged it in tonight and I once again have a operational lift. The old capacitor had the top popped off it when I removed it, kinda weird.
