Rotary Lift Questions

A local auction has a Rotary lift going up for sale tomorrow. I went and checked it out and it looked decent, but I don't really know what to look for. The model # is SPOA9N400 and the serial number is ARZ03F0792. Is there anyway to tell when this thing is made? The Challenger lift they had listed the manufacture date on the sticker, but I didn't see it listed on this one. Is there anything I should specifically look for on this?

The other lift is a Challenger model something S10. The sticker is a little beat up. Which is a better choice between the two?

From my experience with both I would take a well used rotary over a brand new challenger. Just had a challenger installed at work and I'm not impressed. Hoses routed plain on outside of column. The diameter of the cable sheaves is fairly small.
