I like the idea of having a battery backup, the speed would just be an extra plus, I have been in the situation of having to get a car off of a lift when the power was out.

it's fast! which most of the times translates to touchy, you can't really make small adjustments with it going up, you can go slow, but to go slow you have to use the lever to lower it in same time with pressing the button to go up, yes it will still go up, but it takes practice to initiate it without shaking the whole car up, unless of course you already have it on the locks and can't go down when you first grab the lever...
other than that is pretty awesome, and the laser that comes with it is pretty neat

Unless you have a high turn shop with a lot of daily lifts, I would not see the need for it. I went and saw some demo's and decided on the regular 2 post asymmetrical Rotary. Works awesome for me but I just use is as a shop lift, not as a professional.

we have one in our shop nothing but problems from day one am not sure if its the installers fault or by design. the 24v charger never held the 2 batteries fully charged at times. the laser was never fully operational. full speed lifting up a vehicle gets pretty scary when it gets to the top and its shaking.

all of our other lifts are rotary with In-Bay controls ( the press button up/down lock ones) with controls on both sides. To me this was the best design they made but they no longer make it. reasons i was told was parts for it were to expensive? but we had ours for 3 years and no problems. to me this was the fastest lift to rack up and go. since controls were on both sides and you could be kneeling down and still be able to press the controls.
