So I've ordered my lift, Rotary symmetric 10,000 lb, not the revolution, not the shockwave, just the standard. It'll be a few weeks before distributor has it in, he's doing the install also. I'm bringing the power across the ceiling in conduit. My question is how close does my terminal box need to be to the top of the post? I never asked the dealer, but I assume there is some length of wire whip on the lift itself. Is 2 feet close enough? I know its a common lift and I'm hoping some of you have done this before?

I have the same lift. There is no whip provided. Main feed goes to the height limit bar switch then to the motor. I used liquidtite conduit with THHN wire.
