Rotary Vane Compressor

So I picked up a 30 gallon rotary vane compressor. It was used for a fire sprinkler system in a healthcare facility. Can these be used in a garage environment (air tools, sprayers, etc.)? The unit on the tank looks identical to this: https://www.grainger.com/product/GAST-Piston-Air-Compressor-1-5-4Z460. It's expensive brand new. So I'm taking into the account the price it would take to rebuild or replace vanes. Might not be worth trying to fix if I have to throw too much money into it or if using it in a shop environment is not an option. Thanks.

I got a hydrovane compressor from a shop that said it was busted and cycled all the time.

Worked great after I drained 50 or 60 gallons of water out of the tank, I guess they never did.

Thanks for pointing that out. The technician that removed it was saying it was a rotary. I just took a deeper look into the model and the rebuild kit is about $500.00. Way too much for me.
