I have no idea what to call this device.
I have a Lincoln hose reel in the shop. Attached to the hub of the reel is a fitting that allows the hose on the reel to connect to the supply and still rotate freely.
It attaches at the back to a 1/4-20 or 5/16-18 stud that's part of the hub shaft. Has a 3/8 FIP entry in the end of the axle, and another 3/8 FIP hole in the rotating hub.
It's leaking air around the seal between the fixed and rotating portions of the shaft.
I would figure this would be a fairly common article, but I've scoured McMaster-Carr, Graingers and a number of online sites without luck.
Lincoln's hose reel site doesn't offer much help in the way of parts lists, etc.
I would think it's a fairly generic part. The cheap-o reel I've got across the shop has a similar fitting.
I would bet it can be rebuilt, but I haven't taken the time to take it apart and see.
Any ideas on a source for a replacement?
