Can anyone give any insight on how to disassemble and reassemble a roto ratchet. Are snap on and gearwrench done in the same manner. Thanks in advance.

On the drive side, there should be a split ring. separate the ring with pick, razor blade, whatever, walk it off and the gear should fall out of the body. reverse to reassemble.

Seriously? If you can't flip the ratchet drive side up, see the split ring, find the split ring end, separate it so that it rotates off of the gear, you probably shouldn't be taking the ratchet apart to begin with.

On the head between the rotating part and the part attached to the handle, there is a thin metal ring. Find the end of the ring and remove it. I used a pick. The rotating assembly should now separate from the handle.

The split ring overlaps a bit, it looks like a giant, thin lock washer of sorts. You need to separate the ring at the overlap vertically with a pick so that you can work the ring off of the ratchet (thus allowing disassembly).

Lock washer (similar concept):
