I was using my Roto Zip on about 15K rpm to do some final sharpening on my lawnmower blades when it suddenly went up to full speed around 35k rpm. The speed dial wouldn't work at all. I took it a part and there was a 1" long screw, the same kind used in the outer case, just hanging out in the switch area! I pulled it out, reassembled, and it works great. You guys have a similar story? surely it's not just me that finds stuff like this

FIY: link to 100 ct of 1.5" fiberglass reinforced cut-off wheels you can use with dremel or roto-zip for $10 +free shipping. Need a 1/8" arbor rather than 1/16" that the dremel wheels are, but a heck of a lot cheaper than dremel wheels if you use them a lot like I do
